Notion Tea started because there seems to be so many different matcha products on the market, making it difficult to find just the right one to enjoy.

The idea, then, was only logical: Find the best ones and make picking the right matcha for everyone simple.

We tried and tested matcha from many different providers in Japan, and landed on the best, easiest drinking ones.

Why Japan? Because that's where the best matcha tea comes from. They've been cultivating and grinding it for centuries. The flavour profiles and quality of Japanese matcha is at the top.

Along the way, we discovered that even within Ceremonial matcha, the highest quality, there are different grades. Notion Tea's matcha is simply the highest grade Ceremonial matcha you can find, and our Premium matcha sits at the top of its category as well.
